The hardest working obsolete hardware on the planet!

The (test) Machine:

After several years of yoeman duty, we have finally replaced the Stormcenter webserver - aka tempest.stormcenter.net - We've moved from an ancient Hewlet Packard HP XU 5/120, sporting a pair of Intel P133 CPU's, 128Meg of memory and several SCSI hard drives, to an emachines box running a 1.1Gig celeron. Compared to the old HP, this thing is quiet and radically over-powered. The machine runs FreeBSD and supports web and mail services for Stormcenter Networks limited user base.

The system is still growing at this point, and more content will go up as it's written. In the meantime:
